Night Shift Chrom X Reader
It was dark, cold, windy and way past time for your shift to end. You were tired and annoyed by these facts, but unable to do anything about it. Trying to both keep yourself awake, and vent out some of your frustrations, you quietly sang to yourself. “He's late again, I'm getting tired and hungry. Next time I see him I'm going to hurt him.”
Chrom walked up laughing in response to your strange lyrics. “What a lovely song, though I must say the words scare me a little.” He smiled apologetically. “I'm sorry I'm late, again.”
“I'm sure you are. What excuse do you have for me this time?” You hopped down from the wooden crate you were using as a seat and continued questioning him. “Lost track of time while training, got lost in the woods, or did you drink too much at dinner again?” Placing your hands on your hips, you stared at him, waiting for an answer. “You know, it's not very nice to keep a girl

I Am Hourglass
Fighting crime in tight spandex is not always the best idea. Especially if, like me, you have a body you're not all that keen on showing off. Yeah, the chain-mail bikinis distract the bad guys (that's why you see so many super-heroines out there in almost nothing), but at the same time, they can distract you, and that's not what you want. Are my boobs still in this thing? Is my skirt riding up? Uh! Killer wedgie! Not really my thing. Besides, I don't have super strength or mind-blowing offensive powers. It's better if I'm not in the limelight - leave that to Green Lantern. All I have is time.
Yeah. That's my superpower. I'm Hourglass. Don't bother asking me how I do it, because I don't know. All I know is that sometimes I find myself a few hours or minutes or days in the past, often with no idea why except that something in the near future is about to go wrong. And somehow I have to fix it - without supernatural abilities. Just
Dreaming the Future (Hourglass Tales)
When I started to tell Ben about the girl, he seemed a bit nervous. At first I thought it was because he wasn’t comfortable with a stranger staying at our place. After all, who would be. But that wasn’t it.
“You’re antsy, dear. If you don’t want her to stay, tell me. We’ll figure something out.”
“It’s not that I don’t want her to stay. She’ll be fine. That’s not the problem.”
“Well, what is?”
There was a pause while he considered his answer.
“The thing is, I already knew she was coming.”
“I saw her at our place in a dream. I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to think I was dreaming about other women. I don’t want you to think that I’d want anyone else but you.”
“I don’t know. It just happens sometimes. I knew you before we ever met.”
I thought a
At Last I've Made You SmileWhen Virion walked into the room, he was in awe of the sight before him. Beautiful Olivia was dancing to some sweet song in slow motion, or so it seemed. She spun in graceful pirouettes, her garments sparkling in the sunlight streaming in the window. She finalized her piece with an angelic bow, hand extended, inviting, to the doorway. It was then that she noticed his presence.
“Virion? Oh, thank goodness it's only you.”
“Goodness, indeed! It appears the young maiden trusts me as a friend. Although, speaking as a man of passion, I am unsure if this pleases me or not.”
He looked at her as he spoke - really looked at her, as if nothing so beautiful had ever crossed his vision. And she was a vision of beauty. And if she knew how much he loved her, lusted after her, she would not be so relieved at his intrusion. It was all he could do to hold back the fervor of his admiration. Her innocence betrayed her; she knew nothing of
Hourglass in Love
Being able to time-travel at will would be awesome, but that's not how my ability works. Alas, I am usually stuck in the normal flow of time, counting the hours of work until I can go home and spend my real life with the man I love. Oh. I didn't tell you about him? Well, I guess that would make sense. He's just a typical person. Normal. Not like me.
Trying to keep things under wraps was a disaster. Well, let me back up and say that it worked for a while, but there was a point at which I had to tell him the truth and just hope that he believed me. And, lucky me, he did. Naturally, it took some evidence, but things worked out; just not immediately.
I met Ben on a dating website, believe it or not. I didn't go out looking for someone who'd immediately believe me about my ability (and I don't recommend you do it, either). In fact, I wasn't even thinking about time travel at all. At that point, I had thought it was a one time thing. A miracle
